School Office Manager
Zen educate are seeking a highly organised and caring full time Office Manager to join a very welcoming and committed team at a primary school based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating a well-run, efficient school office while playing a key role in supporting the wider school community. The successful candidate will contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment, helping to ensure that every child’s educational journey is supported behind the scenes with professionalism and compassion. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm We are seeking an individual who:
- Is highly organised and efficient, with strong attention to detail
- Communicates clearly and professionally with staff, parents and external agencies
- Works collaboratively with a calm, caring approach
- Understands the importance of confidentially and handles sensitive information with discretion
- Supports the ethos of the school and contributes to a welcoming, inclusive environment
- Office Management: Supervising, motivating, and delegating work to administrative staff, including setting up office procedures and managing workload.
- Administration & Communication: Running the school reception, managing school email/communication, maintaining the school website, and organizing school newsletters.
- Financial Administration: Managing school accounts, processing invoices and payments, managing the school’s petty cash, and ordering school supplies.
- Staffing & Human Resources: Assisting with recruitment, facilitating onboarding and inductions for new staff, and managing HR records such as the Single Central Record.
- Data & Records Management: Ensuring accurate student records on management systems (Arbor) and ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
- Student Welfare & Safety: Overseeing school attendance monitoring, supporting first aid services, and assisting with pupil welfare issues.
- Admissions & Visits: Managing the administration of student admissions and coordinating school trips, including risk assessments
