Due to continued growth, Compass Fostering is looking to expand our network of Independent Form F Assessors across multiple regions throughout the UK. We are particularly interested in hearing from assessors who can support us within the following areas:
- North West
- North East
- Central
- West
- East
- London
- South
- South East
- Wales
Whether you're looking to supplement your existing caseload or develop a long-term partnership with a leading fostering provider, we'd love to hear from you.
Compass Fostering is one of the UK's leading independent fostering agencies, caring for around 2,000 children and young people. Providing the best possible care and creating stable, loving homes for children is at the heart of everything we do.
We operate a 'Potential Not Perfection' approach throughout the fostering assessment process and always focus on applicants' ability to provide safe, nurturing and loving homes for children and young people.
Compass also offers applicants the opportunity to complete a Fast Track Assessment . This robust assessment process is delivered within a shorter timeframe using a blended approach of virtual and face-to-face visits.
About You
You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification together with current Social Work England registration.
You will have experience of undertaking assessments of prospective foster carers and possess a strong understanding of fostering regulations, childcare legislation and safeguarding practices.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- The ability to manage your workload independently
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines
- A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people

Assessment Fee
£2,250 per completed assessment.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications
- Social Work Qualification
- Current Social Work England Registration
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' Social Work experience
- Experience undertaking fostering assessments
Other Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
- Ability to travel within your designated region
