SEN Experienced Teaching Assistant
Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant Birmingham ⏰ Full-Time Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life? We’re looking for a warm, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child with ADHD, ASD, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them thrive both academically and personally. In this role, you won’t just be supporting learning — you’ll be building confidence, encouraging independence, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where a child can truly flourish. What You’ll Be Doing Provide tailored 1:1 support to help a student access learning and grow in confidence Deliver engaging, personalised activities that reflect the student’s interests and abilities Support emotional regulation and communication, helping the student feel understood and secure Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage independence and celebrate progress Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and specialists to implement effective support plans Track and share progress in line with EHCP targets and personal goals Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued About You Naturally nurturing and calm, with a supportive and empathetic approach Energetic and positive, bringing enthusiasm into the classroom every day Adaptable and intuitive, able to respond to changing needs with confidence A strong communicator, able to build trust with students, staff, and families Eager to learn, open to training and new strategies Experience with SEN (ADHD, ASD, behavioural needs) or a genuine passion to support children in this area What We Offer Free online CPD training to support your professional development Valuable hands-on experience in a rewarding field A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your journey Ongoing communication and guidance every step of the way Apply Today If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
