Financial and Tax Accountant

My client are a large and well established, nationwide consumer services business with multiple sites across the UK. Having recently completed a modernisation of the business and head office functions are now seeking an experienced qualified accountant who has experience in accounting and tax. Duties will include:-

• Assist the financial control team with the production of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts
• Take ownership for the financial reporting of a number of subsidiary companies
• Prepare both corporation and VAT tax calculations and returns to ensure compliance and timely payments
• Take ownership of tax matters within the team, improving VAT recoverability and monitoring legislative changes .to ensure ongoing compliance

You will be a qualified accountant with experience of both accounting and tax, having worked in a company with multiple entities and property this role will offer the opportunity to progress to Financial Controller of a large PE backed company
