Water Hygiene Supervisor
Water Hygiene Supervisor Overview We are seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Supervisor to lead and support a team of engineers delivering Legionella control, monitoring, and remedial services across a varied client base. This role is key to ensuring full compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580-1:2019, while maintaining high service standards across commercial, industrial, and residential contracts. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, playing a pivotal role in driving performance, quality, and client satisfaction. The Role As a Water Hygiene Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day operations of field-based engineers, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance requirements. You will be responsible for supervising service delivery, supporting engineers on-site, managing workloads, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both technical knowledge and the ability to manage and develop a team. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and support a team of Water Hygiene Engineers across multiple sites
- Allocate workloads, manage schedules, and ensure efficient service delivery
- Provide on-site support, coaching, and technical guidance to engineers
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff, ensuring competency standards are met
- Monitor performance and maintain high standards of work quality and compliance
- Oversee Legionella control regimes, ensuring works are completed in line with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580-1:2019
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and quality checks on completed works
- Support complex or high-risk sites, providing technical expertise where required
- Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
- Supervise delivery of services including tank cleaning, disinfection, chlorination, and TMV servicing
- Ensure remedial works and maintenance activities are completed to a high standard
- Support engineers with technical issues relating to system performance and compliance
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships
- Provide technical advice, recommendations, and compliance updates
- Attend client meetings where required, supporting contract delivery and performance reviews
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery
- Promote and enforce all health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Ensure all team members adhere to PPE requirements and site safety standards
- Identify, report, and manage risks across sites
