The Role

We are looking for a Sausage Manufacturer and delivery driver to contribute to our successful operations.

In this role, you will play a key part in our production process. You will be involved in making sausages from start to finish, ensuring top quality and adhering to food safety regulations. You'll also support day-to-day factory operations to maintain efficiency.

Note: *Flexibility will be required* - The role is a Monday - Friday working week (Food Production is mainly nightshift/early starts around 4am-10am). Delivery driving generally 10am-12noon.

Key Responsibilities:

Sausage Production:

* Prepare and mix ingredients, including meat, spices, and casings.
* Operate sausage-making machines (stuffing, linking, and cutting).
* Ensure sausages meet production standards for size and quality.
* Monitor chilling processes and maintain food safety standards.
* Pack sausages and other products according to packaging guidelines.
* Perform quality control checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
* Deliver sausages in a timely and safe manner to customers ranging from Independent shops to national chains.

Factory Operative Duties:

* Assist with the general operations of the factory, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
* Operate additional machinery and tools during production.
* Support colleagues across various departments, including packaging, storage, and shipping.
* Handle manual tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading raw materials and products.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
* Help with stock control and inventory management.

The Person

* Experience in food manufacturing or factory work, particularly in meat production, is preferred.
* Full UK Clean driving licence.
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to operate and maintain sausage-making equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude.
