This specialist school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a committed Primary Complex Needs Teacher for a permanent September 2026 start.
As a Primary Complex Needs Teacher, you will teach small classes of pupils with complex learning needs and physical disabilities, delivering engaging and highly personalised lessons that support academic, social and emotional development. You will create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported to achieve their full potential. You will be supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who work closely alongside teachers to provide high levels of care, communication support and learning intervention throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about SEND education and committed to making a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs. Job Role:
- Teaching small classes of primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs and physical disabilities
- Planning and delivering highly differentiated and engaging lessons
- Creating a calm, inclusive and structured classroom environment
- Supporting pupils’ communication, independence and personal development
- Working closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
- Using sensory and practical approaches to support engagement and progress
- Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Secure a permanent role from September 2026
- Work in a welcoming and supportive SEND school
- Teach small classes with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios
- Be supported by an experienced and dedicated TA team
- Receive ongoing support and professional development
- Be paid to scale in line with experience up to MPS 6
