Wayman Education is recruiting a talented PPA Teacher for a thriving primary school in Birmingham. The successful PPA Teacher will provide PPA cover across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering well-sequenced lessons that align with class teachers’ plans. This PPA Teacher role allows you to focus on delivering high-impact lessons, assessment-for-learning and targeted support during PPA time. We are inviting applications from motivated PPA Teacher practitioners who can start in January 2026.

Start Date – January 2026
Contract – Permanent / Part-Time (flexible options considered)
The Role
As PPA Teacher, you will: deliver PPA sessions covering core and foundation subjects; follow class teachers’ long-term plans; provide formative feedback and record learning outcomes; and support continuity of learning. The appointed PPA Teacher will plan in collaboration with year-group leaders and share clear handover notes for every class. You will be expected to commence in January 2026 and support termly planning and assessment cycles from January 2026. This post is based in Birmingham and will involve flexible deployment around the school to maintain consistent PPA provision.

Person specification for the PPA Teacher:
• QTS/PGCE or equivalent and recent primary classroom experience appropriate for a PPA Teacher.
• Excellent behaviour management and proven ability to deliver engaging PPA lessons as a PPA Teacher.
• Strong communication skills and ability to start January 2026 in Birmingham.
