Regulatory Compliance & Investigations Lawyer
Regulatory Compliance & Investigations Senior Associate | Birmingham | 4+ PQE | Leading International Firm A leading international law firm is looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance & Investigations Senior Associate to join its growing Corporate Crime team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in economic crime, regulatory investigations, compliance or criminal litigation to work on complex, high-profile matters across a broad range of sectors. The Opportunity: This role offers the chance to join a specialist Corporate Crime team with expertise across enforcement, internal investigations, compliance and crisis response. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and regulators, advising clients on challenging and commercially sensitive issues while developing your expertise within a growing practice. The team handles a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious work, providing strategic advice to businesses and individuals on economic crime risk, investigations and regulatory matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of complex and high-value economic crime and regulatory matters
- Advising clients on compliance, investigations, enforcement action and crisis response
- Supporting the defence of clients facing regulatory or criminal investigations
- Working alongside senior lawyers on sensitive and high-profile matters
- Keeping up to date with developments in economic crime legislation and regulatory requirements
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development activities
- Supporting and supervising junior fee earners, helping develop the wider team
- 4+ years PQE as a qualified solicitor
- Experience in economic crime, regulatory or investigations work
- Strong understanding of the criminal justice system and regulatory landscape
- Ability to provide clear, commercial and practical advice
- Experience developing client relationships and supporting business development
- A collaborative approach with the ability to supervise and support junior colleagues
