Year 4 Teacher — Birmingham — January 2026 start
An ambitious Good primary in Birmingham is seeking a confident and creative Year 4 Teacher to join its KS2 phase on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 4 Teacher will take part in pre-term planning prior to the January 2026 start, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 4 Teacher. This Year 4 Teacher role is ideal for someone who enjoys curriculum development, leading enrichment and supporting colleagues through shared practice.

Year 4 Teacher Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver well-sequenced maths and English lessons as the Year 4 Teacher.
• Use data and assessment to personalise learning and run targeted interventions as the Year 4 Teacher.
• Lead cross-curricular projects, extracurricular clubs and support transition work as the Year 4 Teacher.
• Engage with parents, attend events and contribute to whole-school improvement from January 2026 as the Year 4 Teacher.
Year 4 Teacher Requirements
• QTS and strong KS2 experience expected of the Year 4 Teacher.
• A Year 4 Teacher with proven subject knowledge, strong behaviour strategies and a collaborative approach.
• Ready to prepare before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 4 Teacher.
Curriculum leadership & development for the Year 4 Teacher
The Year 4 Teacher will have opportunities to lead a subject strand, develop schemes of learning and mentor colleagues within the KS2 phase. The Year 4 Teacher will participate in subject development meetings beginning prior to January 2026 and will contribute to the school's improvement plan after the January 2026 start. This Full-Time Year 4 Teacher role allows the Year 4 Teacher to refine assessment practice and to trial research-informed approaches.
Professional support and wellbeing for the Year 4 Teacher
The school prioritises staff wellbeing: the Year 4 Teacher will benefit from protected PPA, regular supervision and access to external CPD. The Year 4 Teacher will receive mentoring from senior leaders from the January 2026 induction and will join a collaborative team committed to excellence after January 2026.
