Corporate Senior Associate / Legal Director | 7+ PQE | Leading National Law Firm | Hybrid Working | Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded national law firm on an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its growing Corporate team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm with an outstanding reputation across both public and private sector markets, advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, private equity investments and corporate governance matters. The Role: As a key senior member of the Corporate team, you will:

• Advise clients on a wide range of corporate matters including M&A transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, corporate governance and general company law.
• Work closely with partners on complex and strategically important transactions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across a diverse client base.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, supporting their development and progression.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice areas to deliver seamless client service.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and help drive continued growth within the team.

The team advises a broad spectrum of clients, including major corporates, owner-managed businesses, investors, lenders, public sector bodies, housing associations and growth-stage companies. About You: The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A minimum of 7 years' PQE gained within a recognised corporate practice.
• Strong experience handling corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganisations and governance matters.
• Experience of acting for clients in the housing, local government or health sectors desirable but not necessary.
• Excellent technical legal skills combined with strong commercial awareness.
• Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers.
• A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative and team-focused approach to working with colleagues and clients.
