Senior/Principal Associate Restructuring & Insolvency
Restructuring & Insolvency Lawyer | Senior/Principal Associate | Leading International Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working Available BCL Legal is pleased to be partnering with a highly respected international law firm on the recruitment of a Senior or Principal Associate to join its specialist non-contentious Restructuring & Insolvency team, based in Birmingham. This is a unique opportunity to step into a market-facing role within a close-knit team that is embedded in the firm's broader, top-tier Banking & Finance practice. The Role This is a strategic hire within a high-performing Restructuring & Insolvency team, which advises a wide range of stakeholders including:
- Insolvency practitioners
- Lenders and debt funds
- Company directors and boards
- Corporate borrowers and investors
- Pre-pack administrations and other insolvency transactions
- Debt advisory and distressed lending matters
- Board advisory work (including duties in distress)
- Contingency planning, security reviews and enforcement strategy
- Voluntary liquidations, dissolutions, and restructurings
- Be a qualified solicitor with significant non-contentious Restructuring & Insolvency experience
- Have demonstrable experience advising lenders, IPs, and corporate stakeholders
- Be confident handling security reviews, enforcement, standstills, waivers, and insolvency processes
- Be technically strong, with excellent knowledge of insolvency law and distressed finance
- Enjoy business development and be active in the local or national restructuring market
- Be looking to develop your long-term career within a well-supported and progressive firm
