Assistant Project Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join a well-regarded multidisciplinary consultancy based in Birmingham. This is a dynamic role offering the successful Assistant Project Manager the chance to work across high-profile sectors such as automotive, R&D, sport, and higher education, supporting the delivery of technically complex and innovative projects.
As an Assistant Project Manager , you will work closely with senior professionals to gain hands-on experience across all stages of project delivery. This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious Assistant Project Manager looking to grow within a supportive team, while working on projects for global clients, elite sports teams, and pioneering research institutions.

The Assistant Project Manager's roleThe Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a broad range of construction and development projects. Responsibilities will include drafting project documentation, producing client reports, attending and recording meetings, and monitoring contractor progress.
You will assist in managing multidisciplinary design teams, supporting site evaluations and feasibility studies, and helping to develop innovative, practical solutions tailored to client needs. The Assistant Project Manager will also contribute to business development activities and help maintain existing client relationships.

The Assistant Project ManagerTo be considered for the Assistant Project Manager role, you would ideally have:

Experience within construction or consultancy environments

A degree in a construction-related discipline (preferred but not essential)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

Strong report writing and presentation skills

Excellent communication and a collaborative approach

Commercial awareness and a desire to learn and develop professionally
