Optical Assistant – Quinton
Full-Time – £26,500

YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN OPTICS OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED

We’re partnering with a long-standing independent optical practice in Quinton that’s looking to bring an experienced Optical Assistant into their established team. The environment is relaxed and friendly, with a strong sense of trust—giving you the autonomy to do your job properly, while still being part of a team that values consistency and effort.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll play a key part in the full patient journey. You’ll need to be confident across all aspects of dispensing and comfortable working in a busy, patient-focused setting.

Key responsibilities include:
• Dispensing a wide selection of frames and lenses
• Delivering a high level of service throughout the patient experience
• Assisting the clinical team and keeping daily operations running smoothly
• Building strong, lasting relationships with patients and contributing to a community-driven practice

What We’re Looking For

• At least 12 months’ experience working in optics
• Confident with dispensing across all levels
• Dependable, hard-working, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working in a relaxed environment with clear expectations
• Knowledge of systems such as Socrates is beneficial but not essential

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £26,000 + bonus
• Holiday allowance: 28 days plus bank holidays
