Premises Assistant (Part‑Time) - Small Heath, Birmingham

Monday-Thursday 1.30pm-6.30pm
April Start All‑Year‑Round Temp to Perm
£16.86 per hour

This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a stable, welcoming environment where the Premises Manager is known for being encouraging, organised and genuinely invested in helping new staff succeed.

The Role

As a key member of the premises team, you'll help ensure the school remains secure, well‑maintained and ready for pupils aged 3-18 every day. Your duties will include:

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Supporting with site security, including end‑of‑day lock‑up
• Preparing rooms, furniture and equipment for school events
• Assisting the Premises Manager with daily operational tasks
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the site

If you enjoy varied, hands‑on work and like being part of a busy school community, this role will suit you perfectly.

What You'll Need

• Experience in a maintenance, caretaking or handyman role
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
• A proactive, reliable approach and strong teamwork skills
• Confidence working independently and following clear instructions
