Deputy Home Manager- Residential Childcare
Job Title: Deputy Home Manager - Residential Childcare
Job Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Home Manager in the daily operations of the residential childcare home.
- Provide mentorship and support to staff members to ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure the safety principles are adhered to at all times, promoting a safe environment for both staff and children.
- Support in budgeting and financial management of the home, ensuring resources are used efficiently.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual children’s needs, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
- Collaborate with external agencies, stakeholders, and families to provide holistic care for children.
- Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.
- Assist in conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Lead by example, promoting a positive and inclusive culture within the home.
Essential Qualifications:
- No specific educational qualification is required for this position.
- Must have relevant experience in residential childcare or similar environments.
Desired Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a residential childcare setting.
- Proven experience in mentoring and team management.
- Experience in maintaining regulatory compliance, including health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
