The opportunity

This is a key leadership position within one of the firm's fastest growing service lines. The incoming Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of growth, helping to refine the team's structure, develop new specialisms, and ensure the highest standards of client delivery across complex Financial Services VAT mandates. You will lead engagements across the sector with a focus on leadership, technical delivery, and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

* Lead, develop, and mentor a growing Financial Services VAT team, ensuring technical excellence and clear career paths
* Act as a trusted adviser to key clients, delivering high quality, commercially focused VAT advice
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders across service lines to identify cross firm opportunities and deepen relationships
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the VAT business, including team expansion and service innovation
* Champion process improvements and technology led efficiencies within the team

About you

* ACA or CTA qualified with significant VAT experience within Financial Services
* Proven leadership and people management capability, with the ability to inspire and develop others
* Strong client relationship skills, with experience advising senior stakeholders
* Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building and scaling teams
* Collaborative, pragmatic, and commercially astute
