A leading independent day school in the Moseley area of Birmingham is seeking a talented Teacher of English to join its highly successful English department from January 2026.
English is one of the school’s flagship subjects, with consistently strong outcomes at GCSE and A-Level. Pupils are confident, articulate and enthusiastic readers, and the department places a strong emphasis on discussion, critical analysis and creative expression.
You will be responsible for:
Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5
Delivering lessons to small classes with high academic expectations
Supporting enrichment such as debating, theatre visits and writing competitions
Working collaboratively within a scholarly and supportive department
