1:1 Teaching Assistant – Birmingham
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term | Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
PK Education is looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school team in Birmingham. This role involves working closely with an individual pupil to support their learning, development, and wellbeing within the classroom.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a pupil with specific learning needs
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual learning plans
- Support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development
- Adapt learning materials to suit the pupil’s requirements
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting
- Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties)
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
