Role Overview

We are seeking a Director-level Accounting & Corporate Reporting Advisor to join the Financial Services (FS) team, with a focus on the insurance sector. This is a pivotal leadership role supporting the team head in driving quality assurance, technical excellence, and strategic growth.

You’ll lead high-impact advisory projects covering:

• IFRS transitions (IFRS 9, 16, 17) and framework conversions
• Group restructures and transaction structuring for optimal accounting outcomes
• Financial instruments accounting and reporting
• ESG disclosures and broader corporate reporting
• Technical training and stakeholder education

This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong, commercially minded professional at Director, Associate Director, or Senior Manager level, with deep experience in insurance accounting and a passion for delivering client-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex accounting and corporate reporting advisory projects end-to-end
• Scope, win, and manage engagements aligned with ISQM 1 quality standards
• Provide technical guidance on IFRS and UK GAAP, including Companies Act compliance
• Influence and engage senior stakeholders across FS/insurance clients
• Mentor and manage high-performing teams
• Drive innovation in ESG and sustainability reporting

Candidate Profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
• Proven track record in financial services advisory, especially insurance
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in people leadership and project delivery
• Positive outcomes in quality and risk reviews
• Expertise in IFRS, UK GAAP, and regulatory frameworks
