Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Are you a Senior Civil Engineer with strong highways and development infrastructure experience looking to take greater ownership of projects and influence technical delivery? This Senior Civil Engineer opportunity in Birmingham offers exactly that within a respected and growing consultancy. A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its established Birmingham team. This Senior Civil Engineer role will see you working on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and infrastructure developments, leading projects from initial feasibility through to technical approval and delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of S278 highway schemes and associated infrastructure works
• Produce and review designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and relevant junction design software
• Deliver highways, drainage and development infrastructure projects to programme and budget
• Ensure compliance with DMRB, Manual for Streets and LTN 1/20 standards
• Liaise with local authorities, National Highways, clients and project stakeholders
• Support drainage design, S38 adoption and S104 approval processes
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain high technical standards across projects
• Assist with fee proposals, technical reports and business development activities

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Around 8 years' UK consultancy experience
• Strong experience delivering S278 and development infrastructure schemes
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and highways design software
• Familiarity with local authority and National Highways approval processes
• Excellent communication, leadership and client-facing skills
