Regeneration, Development, and Infrastructure Senior Associate Solicitor| Birmingham | Hybrid Working | 6+ PQE | International Law Firm A prestigious international law firm is seeking a skilled and commercially astute Senior Real Estate lawyer to join its Regeneration, Development, and Infrastructure team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on high-profile infrastructure and utility projects, providing legal support to both public and private sector clients. The team focuses on large-scale regeneration and infrastructure projects that shape communities and cities across the UK. The Opportunity: As a Senior Associate, you will work on complex and varied real estate matters within the regeneration, development, and infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on energy, utilities, and infrastructure projects. You will be part of a dynamic team, collaborating across multiple disciplines to provide comprehensive legal advice on large-scale projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of property agreements, including leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, and land acquisition documents.
  • Advising on land rights, title issues, and conducting due diligence, ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Managing land access and property rights for infrastructure development and ongoing maintenance.
  • Supporting land assembly for key utility projects, such as grid upgrades and pipeline installations.
  • Negotiating and securing third-party rights, consents, and access for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Providing legal project management to ensure timely and efficient legal services for major projects.
What We're Looking For: We are seeking a Senior Associate with strong commercial real estate experience, ideally in the context of utilities or infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex transactions and multiple stakeholders while demonstrating a keen understanding of statutory undertaker rights and land law. Key Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 6+ years PQE.
  • Significant experience in commercial real estate law, particularly with utilities or infrastructure sector projects.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with public sector bodies or regulated industries.
  • Ability to manage complex matters and work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
