The Department & Standard

Core Responsibilities
Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and your specialist discipline at Key Stage 4 (GCSE), fostering a culture of rigorous inquiry and evidence-based reasoning.
Practical Excellence: Leading sophisticated practical investigations that go beyond the required curriculum, teaching students the precision and ethics required for high-level laboratory work.
Curriculum Innovation: Contributing to a "future-proof" curriculum that incorporates contemporary breakthroughs, such as CRISPR gene editing, renewable energy systems, and quantum physics.
Data-Driven Success: Utilizing the school’s advanced tracking systems to provide pinpoint feedback, ensuring every student—regardless of their starting point—makes exceptional progress.
STEM Leadership: Coordinating extracurricular initiatives, such as the Crest Awards or university-led masterclasses, to stretch the most ambitious young scientists.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority with a relentless drive for excellence and a passion for scientific discovery. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
