Senior Key Account Manager / Player Coach
The Senior KAM / Player Coach will oversee the sales strategy execution for the cardiometabolic franchise, while supporting and developing a team of Key Account Managers across key European markets for a lead product in the cardiometabolism space, Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) as the initial target ultra orphan indication, with Severe Hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG) in development. As the Senior KAM, you will be responsible for supporting the development of a high-performing team, while developing your own territory, overseeing regional account activity, and communicating key field insights and new opportunities. You will be expected to provide inspiring support and clear direction to drive team performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach other European team members to reach their highest potential, fostering a culture of engagement and motivation.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive account prioritisation and targeting with clear performance metrics and management oversight.
- Achievement of local access, sales and activity targets and KPIs in line with company expectations and brand strategies.
- Implement, monitor, and adjust business plans to meet performance targets.
- Identify and assess new market opportunities, supporting the creation, testing, and refinement of new initiatives.
- Foster productive relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Cultivate a culture of compliance, ensuring adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and all legal and regulatory standards.
- Build strong working relationships with key cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Marketing, Access, and Compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on managed care and national accounts at a European level.
- Proven success in leading sales teams, developing new markets, launching innovative products, and driving rapid revenue growth.
- Product launch experience with deep knowledge of the cardiometabolic and/or rare disease markets, products, therapeutic areas, and business/clinical environments.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, integrate feedback professionally, prioritise tasks, and work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to thrive in a start-up environment and take on roles beyond traditional responsibilities.
