The Role
As Head of UK Data & Analytics Delivery you’ll lead the scaled delivery of data, analytics and AI products across multiple UK value streams and teams. Reporting into the Chief Data and Analytics Office, UK you’ll help shape and execute one cohesive UK data and analytics strategy aligned with Group. You’ll bring pace and clarity to a complex and regulated environment, balancing stakeholder needs with delivery standards, risk and control expectations. Success means a well-managed book of work that aligns to UK outcomes and benefits with products delivered on time, to quality and ready for BAU handover. You’ll build high-performing multi-disciplinary pods and create the conditions for consistent, repeatable delivery across UK D&A. You’ll also play a visible role in improving data and analytics literacy across the UK business.
What you'll be doing
- Drive the execution of a cohesive UK data and analytics strategy aligned with Group direction
- Set and align data and analytics delivery standards across UK D&A including adherence to relevant policies and procedures
- Lead Agile multi-disciplinary delivery pods and oversee day-to-day delivery without relying on direct functional reporting lines
- Own the UK value streams and teams data and analytics book of work and keep it aligned to priorities, outcomes and benefits
- Engage stakeholders across the UK business to shape requirements and manage expectations transparently
- Partner with Group, Risk, Technology and other teams to align delivery and reuse existing solutions where possible
- Generate propositions that deliver tangible business and operational benefits using data, analytics, AI and machine learning
- Manage delivery to time, quality, budget and scope while escalating and resolving risks and issues at pace
- Ensure products are production-grade and ready to hand off to operational BAU teams
- Inspire and educate the wider organisation on the value of data, analytics and AI
What we're looking for
- Demonstrate strong data and analytical capability with excellent organisation, communication and presentation skills
- Deliver sustainable data, analytics, AI and machine learning products that meet business or regulatory outcomes
- Apply strong knowledge of data management policies and data-related risks
- Use hands-on data and analytics engineering skills including coding in Python, PySpark, Scala or C++
- Design effective data models to enable efficient data pipelines and delivery
- Lead or influence multi-disciplinary teams using proven Agile methodologies
- Use Agile delivery tools such as Confluence and JiRa to manage delivery transparently
- Build trusted relationships through very strong stakeholder and relationship management
- Influence stakeholders across geographies and work effectively with remote teams
- Solve complex problems using clear, proven approaches and sound judgement
