Science Teacher

- Contract: Long-term supply
- Pay: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)
- Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The role involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics that inspire curiosity and a passion for learning. You will support students in developing scientific knowledge, practical skills, and analytical thinking while preparing them for GCSE Science qualifications.
As part of a supportive department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and attainment while contributing to the wider success of the Science faculty. The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement
- Have a passion for inspiring young people through Science
