SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham (B12) Salary: £90 - £105 per day (Depending on experience) Contract: Full-time | Temp to Perm for the right candidate Start Date: ASAP Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Birmingham (B12) . This role is ideal for someone experienced in supporting students with challenging behaviour and complex needs. About the Role
You will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions, engage in learning and build positive relationships. Key Responsibilities Support students displaying challenging behaviour Implement behaviour management strategies Assist with Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) Promote emotional regulation and positive engagement Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff Requirements Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour Strong behaviour management skills Calm, resilient and empathetic approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Tom Harper - GSL Education T: 0116 478 8000 M: 07507 796547 ✉ [email protected]
