In-Field Account Manager, Birmingham
The Team
The UK & Ireland is Deliveroo's most mature market globally. Functions include commercial, operations and marketing, and teams in the UK&I partner with global departments such as Product, Technology, Consumer and Restaurants.
The UK&I Regional team drives Deliveroo's performance across all five nations. From Brighton to Bangor, Bolton to Belfast, we are experts in the local markets we serve. In the Regional team, we oversee all three sides of our marketplace: restaurants, consumers and riders. Each region faces their own complexities and opportunities, and our teams are focused on bringing the best possible selection to our customers and opportunities for growth to our restaurants.
The Role
We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Midlands team. This is a rare opportunity to join the Regional Team, working with existing independent partners. You’ll conduct business reviews for independent restaurants, retailers and grocers, focusing on improving the basics and helping them learn to self-serve in future. This is an exceptional role for someone who enjoys working at pace, thrives in ambiguity and possesses a strong bias for action. You will report to the Head of Account Management, working closely with your City Manager and be based from the Birmingham office, but spend the majority of your time in your cities.
What you'll do:
For your locations, be the business owner of the independent partners, working directly with sites or midmarket account managers to drive improvement.
Deliver exceptional business reviews, coaching partners with appropriate content to help them self-serve and grow with Deliveroo.
Proactively engage with sites that have been offline to resolve their issues and bring them back online.
Be the subject matter expert for independent account growth, upskilling the wider team on it.
Log all meetings and activity in Salesforce, with clear and concise notes to ensure a clean handover.
Requirements :
Proven experience in account/relationship management or a strategic partnerships role
Effective relationship-building and communication skills
Track record of delivering outstanding commercial results
Strong commercial acumen, results and target-oriented
Self-starter, hard worker and well organised, enjoys working autonomously and having a mixture of field-based (3-4 days per week) and office/home working (1-2 days per week)
Possess a valid UK driving licence and a vehicle.
Why Deliveroo
Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.
We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.
Workplace & Benefits
At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. Benefits differ by country, but we offer many benefits in areas including healthcare, well-being, parental leave, pensions, and generous annual leave allowances, including time off to support a charitable cause of your choice. Benefits are country-specific, please ask your recruiter for more information.
Diversity
At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.
We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
