The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach a specialism at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that combine theory with practical application.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
Planning and delivering engaging lessons with practical experiments
Supporting pupils in developing scientific knowledge and enquiry skills
Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Preparing pupils for GCSE and potentially A-Level examinations
Contributing to curriculum development within the Science department
Supporting extracurricular science activities and enrichment opportunities
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be passionate about science education and pupil achievement
Work effectively within a collaborative department
