About the Role
A leading independent day school for girls in Birmingham is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Teacher of Religious Education to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to teach bright, articulate students within an intellectually stimulating and values-driven environment.

You’ll teach across Key Stages 3–5, contributing to a department that encourages academic rigour, independent thinking and thoughtful debate.

The Department
Religious Education plays a central role in the school’s academic and moral education, offering students the opportunity to explore philosophy, ethics, and world religions in depth. Lessons combine discussion, critical analysis and reflection, developing empathy and intellectual curiosity in equal measure.

You’ll be joining:

About You
You’ll bring:

  • QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification in Religious Studies, Philosophy or a related field

  • A thoughtful, reflective approach to classroom dialogue and intellectual exploration
  • The ability to inspire academically able students through engaging and challenging teaching
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for wider school life
