Year 3 Teacher | Birmingham
An established Birmingham primary school is looking for an inspiring and skilled Year 3 Teacher to join their Lower Key Stage 2 team from January 2026. This full-time Year 3 Teacher role is an excellent opportunity for a classroom practitioner who is passionate about building strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics. The successful Year 3 Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning sessions prior to January 2026, will take part in a tailored induction in January 2026, and will be in class teaching from January 2026 as the Year 3 Teacher.

Year 3 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 3 Teacher will plan carefully sequenced learning journeys for English and maths, delivering lessons that build fluency, reasoning and full curriculum coverage as the Year 3 Teacher. The Year 3 Teacher will design enquiry-based foundation topics, lead practical science investigations and run targeted small-group interventions. The Year 3 Teacher will track pupil progress, use assessment to plan next steps and present outcomes at termly reviews. The Year 3 Teacher will liaise with parents and contribute to whole-school events; the role requires the Year 3 Teacher to be available for preparation before January 2026 and to teach from January 2026.
Year 3 Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a confident Year 3 Teacher with QTS/PGCE (or equivalent), secure KS2 practice and excellent behaviour management. The ideal Year 3 Teacher will be collaborative, reflective, and committed to inclusion. The Year 3 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, attend the induction in January 2026, and take up the full-time post in January 2026.
