Year 2 Teacher — Birmingham

A forward-thinking Good primary in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and skilled Year 2 Teacher to join its KS1 phase on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. This Year 2 Teacher role is pivotal: the Year 2 Teacher will secure early reading and number fluency, close gaps and ensure pupils are ready for the wider challenges of Key Stage 2. The successful Year 2 Teacher will engage in planning before the January 2026 start, attend induction in January 2026, and begin teaching from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 2 Teacher.

The Year 2 Teacher will lead daily phonics, guided reading and well-sequenced writing units, using assessment to deliver targeted interventions. The Year 2 Teacher will join a collaborative KS1 team and will be supported by teaching assistants and phase leaders from January 2026.
