A busy and inclusive 11–16 school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a confident and professional Receptionist / Attendance Officer from January 2026.
The Role
This dual-role position involves welcoming visitors and managing front-of-house communication while also maintaining accurate daily attendance records. It’s a key role that supports both pastoral care and school administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting parents, visitors and contractors in a friendly, professional manner
- Managing incoming calls and messages for staff
- Recording, monitoring and following up on student attendance and punctuality
- Communicating with parents regarding absence and attendance concerns
- Supporting safeguarding procedures and visitor management
About You
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident using school data systems and Microsoft Office
