School Administrator - Birmingham
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and reliable School Administrator to join a busy and welcoming primary school in Birmingham, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a school and ensuring staff, pupils, and parents receive outstanding administrative support.
The school has a strong inclusive ethos and a supportive leadership team that values efficiency, teamwork, and high standards. The administrator will play a key role in helping the school operate effectively by providing essential administrative support across a range of functions, including reception duties, pupil records, correspondence, and general office management.
As a School Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely administrative processes, supporting staff and pupils, and contributing to the smooth functioning of the school office. You will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies, ensuring the school is presented professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient administrative support for the school, including filing, data entry, and record-keeping
Manage reception duties, greeting visitors, parents, and staff professionally
Answer and direct telephone calls, emails, and correspondence
Maintain accurate pupil records and staff information in line with GDPR
Support the organisation of school events, meetings, and communication with parents
Assist with ordering and managing school supplies and resources
Support the school leadership team with general administrative tasks
Liaise with external agencies and partners as required
Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding, and confidentiality
Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, professional, and organised office environment

Have previous experience in school administration or a similar environment
Be highly organised, reliable, and proactive
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems
Be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
