Are you a strategic commercial leader ready to drive national growth in customs brokerage?

We’re looking for a dynamic National Customs Manager to develop and lead a competitive, reliable, and innovative customs standalone product across the country. In this role, you will shape the national customs strategy, build a compelling value proposition for Kuehne+Nagel’s customs brokerage solutions, and drive new business acquisition across international and local accounts.

With full P&L responsibility for the standalone customs product, you will focus on profitable growth while positioning Kuehne+Nagel as a market-leading provider of highly digitized and compliant customs brokerage services. Working closely with sales, product, and operations teams, you will capture large multi-country opportunities as well as SME business and strengthen our national market presence.

As a member of the UK Management Board, you will contribute to overall business strategy by providing insights on customs performance, market trends, and growth opportunities within the customs landscape.

How you create impact

• Develop and execute the national business development strategy for the customs standalone product to drive revenue growth and profitability.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in collaboration with sales teams and through your own commercial initiatives.

• Analyze the domestic customs brokerage market to identify key industries, customer segments, and growth opportunities.

• Translate market insights into innovative customs solutions and a clear national product roadmap.

• Define and implement a compelling go-to-market strategy and value proposition for the customs standalone offering.

• Strengthen digital connectivity with customers, partners, and customs authorities through automation and digital interfaces.

• Build strong relationships with key client decision-makers and act as a trusted advisor for cross-border trade requirements.

• Contribute insights on customs performance, market trends, and strategic priorities as a member of the UK Management Board.

What we would like you to bring

• Extensive experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or international trade with a strong commercial focus.

• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a national or multi-location environment.

• Strong track record in business development and new customer acquisition.

• Solid understanding of domestic and international customs regulations and compliance requirements.

• Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into effective commercial strategies.

• Experience leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance connectivity and automation.

• Strong strategic mindset with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and commercial acumen with fluency in English and willingness to travel.
