Construction Lawyer

Construction (Non-Contentious) Lawyer | 1 - 6 PQE | International Law Firm | Birmingham/hybrid BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded international law firm that is looking to appoint a talented Transactional Construction Lawyer with 1-6 years' PQE to join their busy Birmingham construction team. This is a full-time permanent role offering the best quality work and flexible working options along with excellent progression opportunities within a supportive and inclusive environment. The Role As a key member of the construction team, you will:

• Advise on a broad range of high-value, non-contentious construction projects across sectors including property, infrastructure, energy, and transport.
• Work closely with developers, contractors, funders and consultants, amongst other clients on transactional matters.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams including property, finance, and corporate lawyers to deliver seamless client solutions.
• Draft, negotiate, and review construction contracts (including JCT and NEC forms) and related documentation.
• Support more junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives.

About You To succeed in this role you will have:

• Between 1 and 6 years' PQE focused on non-contentious construction law, ideally gained at a strong commercial regional or City practice.
• Solid experience advising on development projects and a good understanding of project structures.
• Practical knowledge of JCT, NEC, and other standard construction contracts.
• Excellent commercial awareness combined with technical expertise.
• A proactive and client-focused approach with strong communication and organisational skills.
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within a dynamic team.
