The Role

As a DT Teacher (Food Specialist) , you will be responsible for teaching food technology to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential for teaching Key Stage 5. Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Delivering Lessons : As a DT Teacher (Food Specialist) , you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover a broad range of food topics, including nutrition, food preparation techniques, and the science of cooking.




• Practical Skills Development : Provide students with hands-on learning experiences, helping them develop key culinary skills such as cooking techniques, food safety, and presentation.

What We Are Looking For in a DT Teacher (Food Specialist)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed DT Teacher (Food Specialist) who is passionate about food technology and teaching.

• Qualifications : A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), is essential.




• Experience : Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is desirable, though early career teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
