Exams Officer - Wolverhampton - January 2026
A large, well-organised secondary school in Wolverhampton is looking to appoint an experienced Exams Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of the school’s examinations process from January 2026 .
The Role
You’ll be responsible for coordinating entries, timetables, invigilation and results for internal and external exams (GCSE, A-Level, vocational qualifications). Working closely with SLT, teaching staff and exam boards, you’ll ensure smooth and compliant exam administration throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing entries, results and communications with awarding bodies.
- Preparing exam timetables and allocating rooms/invigilators.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with JCQ and exam board regulations.
- Overseeing results day, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Supporting data analysis and reporting for performance reviews.
About You
- Previous experience in exam administration (school or college setting).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of SIMS or similar MIS software.
