The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the school site, leading the facilities team, and ensuring that the environment is safe, functional, and welcoming. You will work closely with school leadership to support events, inspections, and daily operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising the site and facilities team
Overseeing maintenance, repairs, and day-to-day site operations
Managing contracts, contractors, and service providers
Ensuring compliance with health and safety, fire safety, and statutory regulations
Monitoring building systems, security, and equipment
Coordinating the setup of school events, assemblies, and community activities
Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented school environment
Reporting to school leadership on premises matters and improvement projects
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Have significant experience in site or facilities management, ideally in a school setting
Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills
Be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Have practical knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety regulations
Be proactive, reliable, and solution-focused
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
