English Teacher

- Pay: £175 – £250 per day (paid to scale, dependent on experience)
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a part-time, long-term assignment, working Monday to Wednesday each week.
The role involves teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 to KS5, delivering engaging and structured lessons that support strong progress and attainment. You will play a key role in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level English, helping to develop analytical, reading, and written communication skills across a range of abilities.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement. The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Have experience teaching English across KS3–KS5
- Be confident delivering GCSE and A-Level English Language and Literature
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to supporting pupil progress and attainment
