Design & Technology Teacher (Full-Time)

Monarch Education are looking for a passionate and creative Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Birmingham (B26) on a full-time basis from September .

The Role
You will deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons, inspiring students to develop practical skills and creative thinking across Key Stages 3 and 4.
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing practical, creative, and technical skills
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear feedback
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating workshop/classroom environment
- Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance learning
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum and exam specifications
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement
- Support students’ progress through effective assessment practices
- Participate in departmental meetings and CPD opportunities
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained within practical environments
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related subject
- Experience teaching D&T at secondary level (including GCSE)
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
- Confident in using educational technology and digital resources
