Teacher of English - Secondary School - Birmingham

About the Role
As Teacher of English , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience. You will deliver well-structured lessons that develop:
Strong reading comprehension and analytical skills
Confident extended writing through modelling and structured practice
Secure vocabulary, grammar and sentence fluency
Exam confidence through deliberate practice, feedback and clear routines
You will work closely with colleagues to plan effectively, share resources and maintain high expectations across the curriculum.
The English Department
The English department is supportive and well organised, with shared planning and consistent approaches that help pupils make strong progress. The team values strong classroom routines, excellent modelling and a clear focus on literacy and exam preparation.
Key Information
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP / next term (or by agreement)
Contract: Full-time, permanent (or as agreed)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
