This independent specialist school supports students aged 11-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school delivers personalised learning based on each student's EHCP, helping them develop essential academic and life skills for long-term success. About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students regulate emotions and improve behaviour. Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you will promote positive behaviour strategies and ensure students feel supported throughout their educational journey. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs Implement effective behaviour management strategies Collaborate with teachers, parents and support staff Monitor progress and provide feedback Promote positive behaviour across the school day Requirements Experience within an SEN or SEMH setting (preferred) Strong behaviour management skills Patience, resilience and empathy Understanding of safeguarding procedures Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Benefits Competitive daily pay (£110 - £130) Immediate start Ongoing CPD opportunities Supportive school environment For more information, contact: Tom Harper - GSL Education T: 0116 478 8000 M: 07507 796547 ✉ [email protected]
