  • Manage claims proactively to control indemnity spend, minimise lifecycle costs and achieve timely resolution
  • Support and mentor junior adjusters and contribute to technical best practice across the team
  • Maintain accurate claims records, financial reserves and diary management in line with client SLAs and regulatory requirements

Experience

  • Proven track record handling major and complex losses with values typically exceeding £500k
  • Deep technical knowledge across property (commercial and industrial), business interruption and/or liability lines
  • Experience adjusting for Lloyd’s of London and/or London Market insurers

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-stakeholder losses independently from cradle to grave
  • Excellent written communication skills, including technical report writing and reserve justification

  • Experience in catastrophe or large loss response environments
  • Exposure to construction, engineering, marine or specialist lines
  • Prior involvement in complex litigation support or arbitration
  • Experience leading or mentoring adjusting teams

Key Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capability on technically complex losses
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance indemnity control with client satisfaction
  • Strong negotiation skills with the confidence to engage at board and senior broker level
  • High degree of resilience and composure under pressure, including catastrophe surge scenarios
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills across a varied and demanding caseload
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across the market
