About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Planning and delivering engaging, hands-on lessons

• Supporting pupils in developing skills in design, materials, and manufacturing

• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress

• Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment

• Contributing to curriculum development within the department

• Supporting extracurricular activities such as clubs or design projects

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Design Technology

• Be confident delivering practical lessons in a workshop setting

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
