Osprey Engineering Solutions is a specialist recruitment consultancy embedded in the UK engineering sector. For close to a decade we’ve partnered with manufacturers, distributors and OEMs across fluid power, flow control, pneumatics, hydraulics, controlled bolting, automation, motion control, power transmission, robotics, compressors and filtration — placing the people who keep British industry moving.

Our team includes consultants with more than 20 years in the market. That depth is why clients keep coming back to us, and it’s why our reputation has been built on expertise rather than volume. We now want to add an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to our Birmingham team to take the lead on a warm, established desk — and to grow with us.

What you’ll be doing

* Running a 360 desk within one of our core engineering verticals, with live roles and active clients from day one

* Building and protecting long-term relationships with decision makers, engineers and candidates

* Leading business development — winning new accounts, growing existing ones, and spotting where the market is moving next

* Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from brief through to offer, onboarding and aftercare

* Mentoring junior consultants and contributing to a high-performing, low-ego team culture

What we’re looking for

* A proven recruiter with a consistent billing track record — ideally in engineering, technical or industrial markets, though we’ll seriously consider strong consultants from other specialist sectors

* Confident business developer with sharp commercial instincts and a natural ability to build rapport

* Consultative in style — you listen, advise and place people well, not just quickly

* Self-motivated, commercially literate, and genuinely interested in the industries you recruit into

* Based within commutable distance of Oldbury / the West Midlands
