The Opportunity
A large and ambitious secondary academy in the West Midlands is seeking a motivated Science Teacher to join its thriving faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a forward-thinking department that plays a central role in the school’s continued success and improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds QTS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach at GCSE level in one or more specialisms
- Can plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning
- Uses assessment and feedback effectively to support and challenge all students
- Works collaboratively within a large team and contributes positively to the wider life of the school
Experience in enrichment, STEM projects or curriculum development would be an advantage.

The Role in More Detail
You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, designing lessons that encourage students to think critically, question, and experiment. You will track and assess progress carefully, supporting students of all abilities to meet and exceed their potential.
Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to curriculum planning and take part in departmental initiatives such as science fairs, STEM enrichment activities and cross-curricular projects. You will also be encouraged to participate in the wider life of the school and its extracurricular offer.
