* Oversee the assessments, pathway plans, and care planning, ensuring they meet statutory requirements and are of the highest quality.
* Uphold robust safeguarding practices according to local and national frameworks, addressing any risks related to exploitation and trafficking.
* Monitor team performance against key targets, driving continuous improvement and adherence to Birmingham Children's Trust standards.
* Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including immigration services, health, education, legal services, and voluntary organisations, to ensure the well-being of all UASC. Person Specification: Qualifications: * Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work degree or equivalent.
* Evidence of post-qualifying training relevant to children's services. Registration & Compliance: * Registered with Social Work England.
* Knowledgeable about the Children Act 1989/2004, Care Leavers (England) Regulations, and statutory guidance for looked after children.
* Understanding of asylum and immigration legislation affecting UASC. Experience: * Significant post-qualification experience within children's social care, specifically within Children in Care or UASC services.
* Proven experience in managing or supervising frontline social work staff.
* Experience in Ofsted-regulated environments and inspection frameworks.
* A track record of delivering service improvements and maintaining high practice standards.
