Land Buyer / Land Manager

Blue Diamond Recruitment is supporting a reputable house builder based in the West Midlands as they recruit for a Land Buyer / Manager. This professional will operate across the West Midlands, acquiring opportunities across Birmingham, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Solihull, Wolverhampton and Staffordshire.

This role is pivotal to the growth and delivery of new build housing projects, focusing on sourcing and securing land opportunities to support the development pipeline. You will play a key part in shaping the region's residential landscape, working closely with stakeholders and contributing to successful partnerships housing initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Source and identify land opportunities across the West Midlands.
• Negotiate heads of terms and manage the land acquisition process from initial enquiry to completion.
• Build and nurture relationships with landowners, agents, and local authorities.
• Support partnerships housing and the delivery of the new build pipeline.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in land acquisition, including site acquisition for new build homes and partnerships housing
• Experience acquiring immediate land opportunities across greenfield and brownfield sites
• Experience working on residential development sites of approximately 50–200 units
• Knowledge of the UK residential development and housebuilding land acquisition market
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with landowners and land agents
• Valid UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience engaging with local authorities during land acquisition activities
• Experience presenting land deals at board level or equivalent senior forums
• Experience collaborating with Land and Technical teams on acquisition opportunities
• Ability to travel across the West Midlands to view sites and meet stakeholders
