Legal Assistant

Your new company We are delighted to be working with our client to recruit a Legal Assistant to join their Housing Legal Team on a fixed-term contract until March 2027.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to gain valuable experience in tenancy enforcement and landlord and tenant law within a supportive and fast-paced environment. Your new role As a Legal Assistant, you will support the delivery of legal services across housing-related matters, with a particular focus on tenancy enforcement. You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload while collaborating closely with an experienced legal team.Key responsibilities include: Drafting a range of legal documentation relating to tenancy enforcement Managing your own caseload effectively and in line with deadlines Liaising with key external stakeholders, including courts, counsel and external solicitors Providing legal advice and guidance to internal teams Supporting wider team activities as needed What you'll need to succeed Our client is seeking a proactive, organised individual with a strong interest in housing law and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.You will have: An LLB Law degree with relevant legal experience, or An LPC qualification with relevant legal experienceYou will also bring: Strong drafting and communication skills Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively Confidence in dealing with both internal stakeholders and external partners What you'll get in return In return, you will benefit from a full-time, 35-hour working week (Monday to Friday), supporting a strong work-life balance, alongside a hybrid working model offering flexibility between office-based and remote working.
